Traits
Paint (Restricted)
A secondary marking.
Markings painted/dyed on by humans. A sign of status of pet or working class beps.
Pictus (Rare)
A secondary marking.
A wild smattering of light and dark markings reminiscent of a real-world African wild dog. (typically 3 shades: dark patterning with light splotches inside on top of a base color*. Reference the masterlist for examples and/or check photos of Lycaon pictus)
*Note: If layered with other traits the base color may be a different primary marking such as fade, sunset or reverse.
Piebald (Uncommon)
This is a secondary trait.
Piebald is a real life phenomenon you can read about here. If you use the piebald marking, no other markings may overlap it because it is a lack of pigment (rather than just white spots). Piebald should appear natural and not in straight geometric shapes/lines or other perfect shapes.
See examples in the masterlist if making a MYO design. Must be white or off-white.

Shaped Marking (Restricted)
A secondary marking.
This trait allows for one marking of one color (or a 2-tone gradient) on a bep or sono to be any shape of your choice (as long as it fits within the canon of this early 1900s-era fantasy world). You can have multiple shaped markings by purchasing multiple shaped marking potions and applying them to the design. Bep/sono color restrictions apply. The single marking may have multiple elements to it such as a skeleton/spine marking within reason; if the marking covers more than 1/2 of the body, it will require an additional trait potion.
Cannot be used on albino or top of areas of piebald/melanic; but can be used to SHAPE piebald/melanic.
This marking is heritable by chance via Heldigs Charm; the marking stays the same on the fawn. If both parents have a shaped marking, the marking may be one or the other or an amalgamation of both shapes.

Sock (Uncommon)
A secondary marking.
Leg markings that go over the top of Primary markings (and Secondary markings aside from piebald and melanic). Starts at the hooves and can run just a few inches above the hooves to covering the whole leg or anywhere in between. The top of the sock may be solid or a fade.
Should be symmetrical on both sides, but front to back can vary. i.e. front socks could be short and back could be taller.
