Traits
Tree Leaves (Restricted)
A secondary marking.
Your elkh (bep or sono) has deciduous tree leaf markings. (leaves only; standard color rules apply- see design guide).
-Up to 3 tree leaf types
-Must be solid color and not appear to be a human drawn picture of a plant with outlines etc; think spots! (though outline trait could provide a general outline on the outer edges)
Markings should be solid color, but detail can be achieved by utilizing negative space.
Corrupted Markings (Restricted)
Aitielkh only. Dark markings that can appear anywhere on the body or mane. The markings shimmer and ooze dark stars and moons. Corrption markings go on top, including over aiti patterns/constellations (some of the pattern or constellation should still be visible!)
Cupie Wings (Restricted)
Aitielkh only. Tiny wings (feathered or bat only). They don't look functional, but with the power of magic, they are! Can be connected to the elkh or floating.
Fairy Wings (Restricted)
This trait is for aitielkh and sonoaitielkh only.
Delicate insect-like wings. They are translucent and optionally may have sparkles and/or veins. The largest wings should be at least the length of the elkhs torso, and no longer than their entire length.
Feathered Ankles (Restricted)
Feathered wings appear on the ankles. Should be the size shown in the example image. Can be modified by adding bat wings or fairy wings. For aitielkh and sonoaitielkh only.
Glowing Apparition (Restricted)
An enchantment. Glowing ball of light of any color appears between your elkh's antlers. Can be dismissed at will.
Iridescence (Restricted)
For aitielkh and sonoaitielkh only. Gives the elkh a rainbow sheen. One potion may apply to either the fur and/or mane, OR the antlers and/or hooves.
Kelpie's Curse (Restricted)
Elkh who encounter Ulpukka may be subject to Kelpie's Curse: a trait which "curses" the elkh to live with a kelpie form which allows them to breathe and swim underwater. In its most extreme appearance, the form includes milky eyes that are missing an iris, glowing pupils, upper tusks, waterweeds in the mane and/or tail, and a greenish appearance overall (we use a 40% color layer with a subdued green).
This form has several options:
-A permanent kelpie appearance (strong curse)
-A semi-permanent kelpie apperance which only occurs when the bep touches water (weaker curse)
-A mixed kelpie appearance where the bep's base form includes an upper tusk (if not already present) and semi-milky eyes (weaker curse). They may still look further kelpie-like when they touch water.
You're free to apply this trait to any bep and decide which option fits your character. Some kelpie-cursed beps (or.. "belpies") may appear typical until they touch water, leading them to try to hide their condition. Others may embrace their new abilities!
You may submit an additional masterlist image of your elkh's kelpie form as an image update if you wish but it is not required when applying the kelpie's curse potion. This potion can be applied to any type of elkh or aitielkh; aitielkh have more control over the curse than regular elkh. In-canon this gives your elkh the ability to breathe and swim underwater.
Precious Infusion (Restricted)
Parts (up to 30%) of the antler take on the appearance of precious gemstones or metals. They keep this appearance once shed, allowing crafters to make jewelery and other items out of the antlers which may be gifted to them by an elkh. The material is not the same as real gemstone or metal, but looks very similar.
Intended for bepotelkh and sonoelkh; aitielkh would be better served using the more easily available aiti rare trait "metallic or gemstone infused antlers".
Shining Halo (Restricted)
Aitielkh only. A sparkling halo of any color; can be above the head, around an antler (or antler tine), or around a leg or tail.
Spectral Bats (Restricted)
An enchantment. Ghostly semi-transparent bats fly around your elkh.
Spectral Growth (Restricted)
An enchantment. Ghostly semi-transparent growth appears on your elkh's antlers. Can be any vine-like plant and should be naturally colored.
Spectral Lights (Restricted)
An enchantment. Ghostly semi-transparent fairy lights appear around your elkh. Can be any color.
Spectral Mushrooms (Restricted)
An enchantment. Ghostly semi-transparent mushrooms appear on your elkh's antlers. Can be any type of mushroom that fits on the antlers surface.
Star Rune (Restricted)
For any elkh. A glowing star enchantment that floats above the head/antlers.
Trailing Stars (Restricted)
For any elkh. Glowing trails of stars float around/behind the elkh with this enchantment.
Wild Growth (Restricted)
The elkh has a magic aura that feeds plants and/or fungi. Plants and/or fungi may grow on the outside of the elkh (may not replace eyes or change the antlers etc). May cover up to 30% of the elkh.
Intended for bepotelkh and sonoelkh; aitielkh can use this potion but can also get the same effect from Aitis Healing magic mastery. In canon, the wild growth would be inherent aiti magic and not obtained via potion.
Winds Haste (Restricted)
Magic translucent feathered wings which allow for greater speed, leaping, and gliding, but not flying, for short bursts once or twice a day.
In canon: an enchantment that provides very translucent feathered wings either on the back or at the ankles or both, which confers the ability to 'move like the wind' with limitations.
Intended for use on bepotelkh and sonoelkh; can be used on aitielkh but note that aitielkh already inherently have the powers provided by the potion and have their own wing traits.
