At the heart of Miatias, on the east bank of the Orowa river, one can find the busy town of Tama. A lot goes on in Tama, making it a popular attraction for travelers. Some of the most esteemed magic users and scholars live here, but it is also home to some great sono althetes, as the largest sono races in Miatias take place here in the winter each year. Tama is otherwise known for making beautiful woven clothing, rugs, and other textiles. Looking around, one will see warm orange adobe buildings with (typically white) shade cloths draped over many areas, and ubiquitous water troughs for thirsty sonos. There are many hanging decorations (these are often made of metal), pottery, and lanterns decorating the town as well. Buildings may have releif sculptures carved into them, especially around doorways. Tama also has a covered bathing house for elkh so that they may cool off in the water anytime.
