A new Theme

A new theme is now available, celebrating our 10th anniversary + Wish's Rest.

10th Anniversary mural prompt

For February only, draw a colored and transparent fullbody of one of your characters! Your first or oldest is encouraged but you can also just draw your favorite! The prize is 10 gildes and a Fuzzy Familiar (lucky) companion! This companion is the completion reward for the calendar so make sure to do this prompt if you miss a day (or if you want two!)

Ascended Aitielkh

Aitielkh who choose to ascend will have a new, beastly form with great power. They will be able to switch between their two forms freely. Upon mastering all magics, you can simply follow the Ascended Aitielkh guide to design the ascended form and submit it as a Design Update on your characters masterlist entry (you can choose whether its the main image or a secondary image). You may also purchase an Ascension Pearl from the CG shop to skip all magic prompts and grant your aitielkh full magic mastery so they may ascend. Once the art is updated, the character will provide daily collectible drops and can access the Ascended Library.

Aitielkh are not ascended/do not have drops until the updated masterlist art is created and approved.

Beacon's Offer After meeting briefly several weeks ago, Beacon has returned to gather Aitielkh who wish to ascend. Only those who have fully mastered all magics can ascend, and only ascend if they wish to, by swallowing an Ascension Pearl.

Ascended Aitielkh will be able to collect crystalized wishes daily, which can be used for crafting.

Mastery Wisp

Starting today, owners of Aitielkh who have mastered all magics can detach that characters 7 wisps, send in a claim mentioning you'd like to combine wisps, and receive a Mastery Wisp in their place. Be sure to attach the affected character so we know who to give it to!

Granting Wishes Prompts

Ascended Aitielkh can now participate in Granting Wishes Prompts to gather more wishes (crafting materials).

New Trait and a New Flower

New trait for all elkh: druidic ears (R)! This trait could be considered to be similar to long x furry ears.

And, due to popular request, we've created a new flower! This plant, commonly called Falling Stars (Convallaria stella), grows and drapes from cliff faces in Wish's Rest and is closely associated with aitielkh and ascended aitielkh. The flowers are bell-shaped but have five petals, resembling stars when viewed at the opening.
It can now be used in flowercrowns.

Mastery Badge & Future of LEarning Magic

Any player who has mastered all magic with at least one Aitielkh is eligible for this new badge made by Key! We will automatically send it out to everyone who has earned it so far. Amazing work during MotA, everyone!

We're also planning to bring back the Apprenticeship prompt in the future. We know mastering magic is a lot of work, so having a teacher is important. The apprenticeship prompt will now be available for the month during any future beast trial (the Beast Box Magic Gacha will not be a part of the prompt).

USD and CG Shop Changes

• The USD shop has moved and now only sells CG
• CG can be bought and used in the CG shop to buy items that were available in the USD shop prior to the change
• Some items in the CG shop have had prices changed so we can evenly balance USD to CG to G.
• Custom design trait add-ons will now be through the USD/CG shop (buy CG in the USD shop; buy add-on potions in the CG shop)

We would like, and we know users would like, to have the USD shop on the site and have items delivered automatically. This feature is about $200 to maintain yearly, so thus far, it has not been feasible for us. If you want to see this feature, you can support us by using the current USD shop. If we make more regular sales that go well enough beyond covering this cost, we will look into getting it installed in the future!

Magic is rising again. A call from the sky stirs the hearts of aiti everywhere and compels them to sharpen their training! This month, Magic Trials earn a special bonus: a random beast box corresponding to the level of magic they are learning. For example, if your aitielkh finishes the first Rushing Waters prompt, they will recieve a random  Lv1 retired beast box. If they complete Lv3 Rushing waters, they get a random Lv3 retired beast box!

• There's no additional limit to how many prompts can be completed (other than the usual limit of once per elkh per prompt).
• You can "level up" as many aitielkh as you like.
• You do not get a beast box if you use magic crystals.
• We are winking at you and encouraging you to strive for complete magic mastery (all magics) on a character. Full mastery leads to Ascension! What is Ascention? Let's find out next month!

Alternative Prompt: Apprenticeship

After receiving the message, Usnea and the messanger Corvaani call out to the Beasts for their assistance. Most of them come to lend their time willingly as many of them were saved by local aitielkh in one way or another. 



One of them comes less willingly. After using their earthsense mastery to locate the hibernating beast, Usnea pulls Lord Wiikset from his slumber inside of a massive hollowed out tree in southern Rainsong Forest. The large, caterpillar-like beast has such heightened senses that it can only sleep if it goes into deep hibernation.

Usnea drags the sleeping beast into a cold pool of water and it awakes with a start. Wholly unperturbed, Wiikset greets Usnea and is quickly whipped up into an excited frenzy as it knows its help is needed.

Each of the Beasts featured are associated with a magic type. For this time only, these deeply magic beings are willing to help tutor your aitielkh in their magic specialty. 




Please read the prompt carefully as the prompt requirements are different than usual. However, if you complete the prompt as described, you will receive magic mastery with one prompt instead of doing the usual three. Magic crystals cannot be used for this prompt.

Hollygiving

The snow is falling and the candles in homes are lit. There's magic and yule spirit in the air!

The Story of Hollygiving 

Bepotelkh may give out bundles of holly leaves and berries to other beps they think deserve them for doing a good deed or even just brightening their day some time in the last year. This is done in the name of the mysterious Spirit of Yule, an indescribable creature or force that embodies the magic of Yule and encourages reflection and new beginnings. It's said that the Spirit chooses some lucky beps each year on which to bestow some gifts, and that these gifts are presented by the equally mysterious Gifting Stag. The Gifting Stag is said to be a bepotelkh with flaming yellow eyes, growing in power in late December and appearing on the edge of forest clearings and the outskirts of villages. His antlers are draped in silver cone bells.

When a bep receives a bundle of holly, a human friend ties it to one of their antlers. To humans, bep antlers covered in holly are seen as a good luck charm. Beps who lose an antler (or both) while still wearing holly may choose to give one of those antlers to their caretaker or another important human in their life. These decorated antlers can be seen on doors and village gates. With wild and free beps, this tradition is similar, but instead of humans tying the holly on, they have to get the help of other wild creatures like shroomkin! In villages, holly bundles for giving are handed out to beps by their village ambassadors. In the wilds, beps must find holly bushes to snip bundles from with their teeth.

Instructions

• Choose one of your elkh to give holly to other characters. Your elkh can give holly bundles to any characters on the Bepotelkh, Shroomkin and Humans masterlists.
• You may use up to 15 of your own elkh to give out holly (a max total of 45 bundles). Please do not use more than 15 elkh.
• Each of your elkh may give out 3 holly bundles to 3 different characters (but please choose active users)!
  • You may, in ONE instance, have one of your beps give a holly bundle to another of your beps! (we decided this was too cute story-wise to be overlooked, but again, only once and with one bep!)
  • NOTE: To help out the mods, please either give the holly to three different users, or all three to one user No need to list out usernames at the end- just follow the format and that's what works best for us!
• Comment on this news post with the name and masterlist number of your elkh, and then write out the names of the characters as well as the owner's name in the comment. (no need to link characters, just please remember to add the usernames!) Example:

• A moderator will send the holly currency to the recipients you chose.
• Holly currency can then be spent at the Yule Shop, where you will find Gudvin has all kinds of gift boxes!

• Open the raffle ticket box to be entered into the raffle!
• The last day to give holly is December 25th!
• The hollygiving raffle will be rolled on December 27th and winners will be contacted on the same day.

The Avis Express is still going strong despite the winter weather! Have your elkh visit the frigid cold village of Vuur. A feat of endurance and strenth, this village on the stark trundra at the northern most point of Silkassa. Known as "The Flame", Vuur is known for it's incredible blacksmiths. A monument with an ever lasting fire burns on a pedestal along the sea, both as a beacon to ships and wayward souls buried at sea.  Earn a Vuur stamp for your elkh's stamp book, a tundra pulipuli companion and a vuurian bone sheath knife by completing this prompt. All Exploration Prompts can be done at any time to receive prizes and gildes but each exploration prompt can only be done two times per month.

Vuur's tundra pulipuli are furred rodents with a blaze on their nose. They are adapted to living in the arctic cold.

2024 Yule Art ExChange!  ~sign-ups closed~

Secret Santa art exchange sign-ups are now open! 

Instructions:

• Please read the instructions and fill out your form carefully! Sign-ups end Monday November 25th.

• Once you are assigned your person, make your gift by December 21st. All art pieces (traditonal or digital) must be colored, pixel art must be at least 100x100px. Art does not have to be full-body but please put love into your entry as this is a gift giving event!

• Please make sure you link to your character's profile (either on site or Toyhouse) and be sure your TH is visible to everyone if linked.
  
  

• Please only enter this event if you believe you can finish and deliver your piece on time. If you realize you can't finish in time, please let Nopalrabbit know as soon as possible so we can find a backup artist! (And if you'd like to volunteer as a backup artist please let Nopal know!)

• Give your gifts out starting DECEMBER 21st until DECEMBER 31st. There will be a reminder in the discord! Make sure you directly message your secret santa with their gift! (or reply to their comment in this post), You may also submit your entry to the Yule Exchange sub-gallery (not until Dec 21st tho!). Afra and the shadow well at ease

With the help of Corvääni and her corva, the aitielkh have successfully caught the wild shadows and freed Afra from their imprisonment. The avian messenger of the Goddess blesses your aiti for helping her and Afra. A question that Corvääni muttered to herself before leaving sticks in your aiti's mind, what trapped Afra in the first place?

2024 giving gala!

The 2024 Autumnfound Giving Gala has begun! During this event players are placed onto teams (team Pumpkin Pie- led by Ket, and team Tricky Treat- led by Leonja) and "attack" one another with gift art to earn acorns, which can be spent in our Autumnfound Event Shop.

From TODAY November 1st  to November 30th You will be able to upload gift art to your team's Giving Gala gallery. All submissions MUST be uploaded to the correct gallery to be counted for points for your team. Each acorn = 1 point. 

There is no "friendly fire" in this event, you are welcome to make regular gift art and send it in via claims to receive gildes!

Acorns/points will be awarded STANDARD GIFT ART CURRENCY, you can see examples on scoring here.  Some bonuses have been removed/altered to streamline the event.

Courtesy Rules

• Please only make giftart for characters with the giftart option toggled to "YES" on their profile.
• Please understand not all users may respond to gift art and are not required or expected to do so.
• Please be kind to other players; the spirit of the event is giving and fun!
• NO BASES are to be used! Do not reuse art or poses please. Each piece should be unique.

ART REQUIREMENTS

All gift art must be clean and colored to award acorns. Please be considerate and put care into your work.

• A bust with foreground or background elements earns 3 acorns.
  • Examples of foreground or background elements include: a frame, floral background, stars, etc.
  • Busts MUST include this feature, floating heads will not be counted.
• A clean, colored fullbody (75%+ of the body) earns 6 acorns.

Please check the character's profile and inventory to make sure they own said companions/accessories.

Additional Characters

Additional characters must either be 1) Owned by the same owner OR 2) Characters that have already estatblished canon relationships AND both owners are on the same team.  It is recommended that you stick with only drawing one character or stick to drawing one owner's characters together.

You may not add your own character into the gift art. Any art that breaks these rules will be disqualified as the mods will not be able to award points accurately.

• Minor additional elkh, shroomkins, or Silkkassan (49% or less of the body) earn 1 acorns each.
• Major additional elkh, shroomkins, or Silkkassans (50% or more of the body) earn 2 acorns each.

Gallery and submissionsThe Pumpkin Pie and Tricky Treat  art galleries will open Today. You MUST upload your gift art to your team's folder. This is so the mods can tally up the points at the end of the event. To receive your acorns you will have to submit your art via the GIVING GALA prompt.
You may submit multiple gift arts for multiple people as a compilation in one gallery picture but only if you have given the recipiant a copy of their individual art elsewhere.

BEAST Boxes

The reward for participating in this event is a beast box! The level of box you recieve for a prompt correlates directly to the magic your aitielkh used in said prompt. Beast boxes are gacha boxes with a chance of winning any one of the items inside of them. Chances are listed below.

Beast boxes include beast tokens as well! The amount you get corresponds to the level of beast box (lv 1 gets 1 token and so forth; habapi beast boxes always have two tokens). Vocations & Crafting for Elkh

What Are Vocations?

A vocation is a job or specialization that an elkh can participate in! In the past, we've provided a gilde bonus for elkh drawn with work gear. This will continue! However, once a vocation prompt is completed, elkh can have more of an "official" duty which will provide daily crafting item drops. Their vocation badge will also provide access to hidden shops where specialized recipes and retired accessories can be accessed and/or purchased!

Benefits

Once an elkh has a work permit (can be obtained from the general shop OR by completing the first four storyline prompts for beps or sonos), and has then completed the vocation specialization prompt, they can:

• Collect daily crafting item drops on the elkh's masterlist page
• Access special hidden shops for exclusive recipes and retired items
• Craft their vocation's companion
• Craft their vocation's potions or enchanted accessories

What about Aitielkh?

Because they are above doing labor for humans, Aitielkh are not eligible for a work permit or vocation. However, we do have solid plans in the works for a similar feature for Aitielkh. Release date is TBD based on our ability to get everything done. King Cade Rests Again... For Now!

The aitielkh and habapi successfully wrangled cicadles from the structures they threatened long enough to delay complete destruction, but surely there will be some repairs and cleanup to do for some time. All participants will be given a participation award and Lv2 beast box for a successful victory.

The Beast Trial Shop will be open through August 15th so be sure to purchase what you need before it closes!

We aimed low due to a certain art game going on this month, but players knocked it out of the park!

Autumnfound Approaches: Storylines Gain New Importance!

With Autumnfound around the corner, we want to give everyone a chance to get going on storyline prompts before we drop a new game update that will require completing the first 4 prompts OR having a job class permit/wildspeak!

There is now a Storylines Guide if you need help getting started!

Storyline Focus Event is back! During these months, you may earn bonus currency for completing Storyline prompts without worrying about missing out on any special events. We hope to have these temporary bonuses occasionally during months where other events aren't scheduled. Storyline prompts include: Village Stories, Wild Pact, Oasis Dreams, The Desert Trail, Followers of Aiti, Trail of Mushroms, and Jungle Delights.

Please note that the new feature arriving in September ONLY applies to Bepotelkh and Sonoelkh; it does not apply to Aitielkh, Shroomkin, or Habapi. However, you are still welcome to participate in those storylines for the bonus this month if you wish!

When you submit your prompt, the bonus reward you get (in addition to standard currency) will be randomly generated.

New Items Appear...

Felvits Are Here!

A new type of companion will be available going forward! Meet felvits (pronounced like "velvet")!
Felvits are omnivorous wild animals that can be captive raised, but aren't quite domestic. While native to the surrounding environment, some varieties have clearly been tailored toward human tastes. They have 5-toed grabby hands and are very nimble depending on the type, spending a lot of time in trees or otherwise up-high. Sharp claws for climbing and big ears for hearing All. They take well to living alongside humans and elkh as they enjoy picking off the pests that follow, such as small rodents and insects. They eat pretty much anything they can, including fruits and even (human-cooked) grains. They come in many body types and even a gliding type (the humans did not make this one and it's a questionable pet because it's highly capable of theft)!

(Out of canon note: Felvits are our version of cats for Silkkassaa, but they are a native animal thus stay in reasonable population with the environment they're in! We hope this scratches the cat itch!)

Pet Rotation to Begin in the Elkh Shop

Beginning this month, new pets will be rotated in the elkh shop on a monthly basis! We're starting with one of the new Felvits (the rest will be available in the future, one by one!).

Old companions and exploration prompt companions will continue to be rotated every season in the CG shop.

Habapis Join Beast TrialS

Habapi can now participate in Beast Trials and they can earn their own Beast Box! Habapi only have one level of magic, and it is equivalent to Lv 2 aiti magic, so their boxes contain 2 Beast Tokens which can be used in the Beast Trial Shop to buy recipes to make additional Crystal Trait Potions! As a reminder, you can unlock your Habapis magic by doing Ruins Exploration Prompts.

Beetlehorn Antler, Fairy Wings, And Iridescence
