Table of Contents
Habapi are based off real-life peccaries (not pigs), but have a variety of ears, manes, horns, tusks, etc. and their markings and colors are highly variable. They stand about 2 feet tall (60cm) at the shoulder when standing on all fours. They have hooves and dewhooves on all four feet. They have basic feral forms and anthropomorphic (bipedal) forms as well.
Bases
Bases are only for in-game use and are not copyright-free; they cannot be used off-site to sell adoptables or make other art.
Traits
See the Visual Index for Habapi traits.
Combination traits
When designing your MYO you may combine traits as long as they are common traits OR you have the potions for both traits. Combination traits only apply to: horns, manes, tails and ears. Some Habapi Crystal traits may be combined with other Habapi Crystal traits (ie. wings) but the player must have both potions to do so.
Markings
Habapi may have any markings provided they do not include copyrighted logos, recognizable trademarks, words, or emblematic markings that resemble modern or man-made concepts. Habapi designs may not mimic or heavily reference copyrighted characters.
Colors
Habapi may have any color fur and eyes. Tusks/teeth must be white/off-white. Their sclera can be colored if using the colored sclera trait.
accessories
Some Habapi choose not to wear accessories while others love them. Accessories are mostly made out of plant fibre, natural dyes, wood and stone. Habapi who choose to shapeshift have the ability to metal work and those Habapi or others may trade or barter with them to get accessories made from precious metals. Some more eccentric Habapi may choose to wear accessories made from bone and fur. More adventurous and naughty Habapi may steal accessories from human villages or travelers.
Bipedal form
In addition to designing your Habapi's base form, you may also design their bipedal form and upload it to the masterlist (guide coming soon). Designing an bipedal form is OPTIONAL.
- You may design your Habapi's bipedal form with hooved hands or four fingered hands, however they always have hooved feet.
- Bipedal Habapi tend not to wear traditional or tightly tailored clothes as they can be restricting when shapeshifting back and forth between forms.
- Manes do not change from form to form and traits must adhere to trait standards in both forms. However, you can design the bipedal form without the mane going down the entire back. Mane length must remain the same.
- Bipedal forms are just that- bipedal. They maintain the same shape and should not appear to have a human-like body or longer limbs; they are essentially just standing on their hind legs with minimal changes to anatomy, and remain the same size as their feral form.
- Any accessories and clothing must remain canon-compliant meaning it should appear to be handmade clothing from the early 1900's. There is a fantasy element to their clothing, but it should not appear to be similar to modern-day real-world clothing. Please see the masterlist for examples of acceptable accessories.
Breeding Design Guide
- Habapi do not have a fawn/baby form, when using a breeding ticket they make a fully playable character.
- Habapi follow similar rules to bepotelkh; the colors must come from the parents.
- When mixing colors, they should come from the FUR if you are picking colors for the FUR. The eye colors only apply to the eyes. Hooves and horns for the hooves and horns, etc.
- Markings do not have to match the parents markings.
- If shaped pupil is inherited it can be a different shape as long as it continues to follow the shaped pupils rules.
Inheritance
You may choose any two traits to keep from the parents, this includes Habapi Crystal Traits. The rest of the habapi's traits are randomly inherited from the parents:
- 50% probability of inheritance if one parent has the trait (including Habapi Crystal Traits).
- 100% probability of inheritance if both parents have the trait (including Habapi Crystal Traits).
The player may also leave the roll completely up to chance by not selecting any kept traits.
Breeding items
Blessed Beads, available in the General Shop, may be used on the breeding claim to guarantee one crystal trait is passed in the breeding. These are used in addition to your two kept traits.
Combination traits
The player may select a combination trait (for one or both of their kept traits. Combination traits only apply to: horns, manes, tails, ears. Habapi Crystal Traits can only be combined if the player provides blessed beads or the trait potions to the claim. Like beps, combined traits CANNOT be split when requesting kept traits for your breeding, ie if one parent has Roundy x Goaty ears and the other parent has Bunny ears, you can only pick the Roundy x Goaty ears or the Bunny ears. You also cannot split a combined trait to combine into a different trait.
Breeding instructions
Please make sure that you are only using characters that are either your own, marked as open for breeding or have proof that you asked the owner for permission to use their character. Read more about character breeding toggles HERE.
To use your ticket send in a claim with the characters and breeding ticket attached. See HERE for step by step instructions.
