Gildes are small, hand-minted copper coins with a hole in the center, decorated with a stalk of oats and an elkh antler. They are the primary currency in Silkkassa and Miatias, and are used by elkh and humans alike! Humans are usually the ones to hold gildes, but working class elkh can earn them too. An elkh's money is kept in the treasury by their employer or human companion(s). Because they can't easily carry currency themselves, when an elkh wants to purchase something, the shopkeeper simply takes a note and is later given the currency from the treasury. If an elkh has to transport their own currency, the coins are tied on a rope like beads on a bracelet, and they then carry the "bracelet" of coins by their teeth, on an antler point, in a saddlebag, etc. Canonically, wild beps and aitielkh do not typically possess currency, but you can still earn currency when using them in prompts. In canon, these elkh would be bartering for goods.
If you do not own an elkh, you may earn gildes by using an NPC to complete prompts or by making gift art for other users! You can then use your gildes to purchase a MYO ticket or a fawn breeding to get your own elkh.
Gildes may not be sold or traded for real-life currency or goods. You may not ask other users to give you gildes.
A note On Effort
We highly discourage "grinding", a.k.a. making a bunch of work as quickly and as minimally-effortful as possible with the intention of getting maximum currency. Please put love, time, and care into your work, especially if it's giftart.
On AI Entries
AI art or writing of any kind is strictly prohibited. Prompts should have human authorship only.

General Guidelines
- Unless otherwise stated, artwork must be clean and colored. Shading is not required.
- Artwork that is black and white but polished can be submitted for gildes but will only receive half the total amount that would be awarded for colored work.
- Additional characters in written works must include significant interaction in order to claim bonus gildes. Significant interaction is defined as prolonged conversation, interaction, or focus, not just mentions of a character.
- Companions must be assigned to (owned by) the character(s) featured in order to claim bonus gildes. Companions that you do not own and are not assigned to (owned by) the character(s) featured at the time of processing will not be awarded bonus gildes.
- Companions, accessories, and work permits (active work and/or working gear) in written works must be, at minimum, described briefly in order to claim bonus gildes.
- Gift art should not feature one of your own characters in a major role. If you want to include your character(s) please submit that art as a prompt.
- General art not covered by the categories below does not earn currency.

50% of the Character
When distingueishing what is a Major Character bonus or Minor Character bonus in drawn submissions please use this guide. If the character is seen from the top they must include the head, tail and most of the torso. If the character is seen from the front they must include their head, chest and two front feet. Very small amounts of these features covered up by other characters or items is fine but the character should still be more that 50% shown for the extra gilde bonus. The mod awarding your prompt will make the final decision.
Accessory Complexity
When including an official accesory in your submission you get a gilde bonus (see below for more info). All official accessories are categorized as either "Simple" or "Complex". Official accessories are accessories that are featured on the site under World -> Encyclopedia -> Items -> Accessories. The gilde bonus does not count toward accessories that your bep came with or that you designed yourself. Official accessories can be bought in the shops, earned via prompts or awarded during events. Official accessories must be owned by the bep wearing them to receive the bonus.
Autumn Acorn Hairclip is considered "Simple" whereas the Traveler's Gear is considered "Complex"

- Submitting work to our gallery earns you 1 bonus gilde.
- Drawing gift art of our monthly featured bep (Seen on the front page) will earn you extra gildes.
